(Sharjah, United Arab Emirates) – 17 December 2008 – Bee’ah, the Sharjah Environment Company today announced that it will participate in Environment Expo 2009, the Middle East’s premier environmental exhibition and conference, taking place at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) on 19-21 January 2009. The stand will be one of the largest at Environment Expo and will show visitors how the diverse actions and campaigns of Bee’ah are already benefitting everyone who works in, lives in or visits the Emirate of Sharjah.
Mr. Samer Kamal, Managing Director of Bee’ah said, “Environment Expo is recognized as the foremost exhibition and conference for anyone serious about addressing the serious environmental challenges that our region faces. That is why Bee’ah will be playing such a prominent role at Environment Expo 2009 and demonstrating how it is providing integrated solutions to these issues across a large number of activities. Together with our suppliers, we are able to help not only the Emirate of Sharjah, but also other cities, organisations and areas take up the challenge of becoming environmentally-responsible, which can bring great fiscal and competitive benefits.”
In addition to its stand, Bee’ah will install around 50 of its 3-stream pedestrian recycling centres in and around the exhibition centre, allowing visitors to deposit their recyclable waste, thereby diverting it from landfill. The commitment of Bee’ah to delivering solutions with immediate positive effect will be further demonstrated by the provision of its Blue Bins to each exhibitor; enabling stand staff and visitors to also deposit their recyclable waste.
The stand will be shared with several key suppliers to Bee’ah, with equipment used to recycle and clean also on display. This arrangement not only highlights the close relationship Bee’ah has forged with key suppliers, but also reflects the many diverse activities Bee’ah has and is putting in place in order to provide a total environmental. These include the provision of recycling schemes for pedestrians, office workers and residents; street beautification; production and provision of recycled materials; waste collection; landfill remediation; and the provision of environmental education and legislation.
Suppliers sharing the large stand with Bee’ah will include:
- Envyrozone – supplier of recycling bins, including the 3-stream pedestrian recycling centres that are installed and heavily used on the Buhairah Corniche and throughout several Sharjah parks
- Madvac – supplier of beautification equipment, including street cleaning vehicles
- RTI – supplier of products that are produced from recycled tyres, such as additives for construction and road materials, sports and walking surfaces, and safety products
- Shredtech – supplier of shredding equipment used to break down recyclable waste such as tyres into processable sized pieces
- CP Manufacturing – supplier of material recovery machinery, an integral part of large-scale recycling processes
The Bee’ah stand will be located at D23, in Hall 3.
