November 19, 2008 - Bee’ah, The Sharjah Environment Company today announced the appointment of Mr. James Hartnell as Director, Marketing with immediate effect. Most recently, Mr. Hartnell was Vice President at NettResults, a Dubai-based public relations and marketing company where he was responsible for business development and overseeing the smooth running of multiple client accounts.

Director of Operations Appointed at Bee’ah, The Sharjah Environment Company
November 9, 2008 - Bee’ah, The Sharjah Environment Company today announced the appointment of Mr. James McGuire as Director, Operations with immediate effect. Mr. McGuire joins Bee’ah following an 11-year period based in the United Kingdom with environmental services provider Veolia, most recently as Recycling Manager.

Bee’ah, the Sharjah Environment Company, is pleased to announce its participation in yesterday’s Earth Hour. As well as turning off its own lights and electrical appliances for one hour, Bee’ah encouraged residents, businesses and the American University of Sharjah (AUS) to do the same, acting in unison with others across the Emirate of Sharjah, across the entire United Arab Emirates and around the world.

Bee’ah Signs Memorandum of Understanding to become the Environmental Regulatory and Monitoring Partner of Hamriyah Free Zone Authority
His Highness Sheikh Khaled Bin Abdullah Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairman of Hamriyah Free Zone Authority (HFZ) and His Excellency Salim Bin Mohammed Al Owais, Chairman of the Department of Municipality and Agriculture, and Chairman of Bee’ah, The Sharjah Environment Company, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Bee’ah and Hamriyah Free Zone which will form the basis of Bee’ah becoming the regulatory and monitoring partner of the Free Zone Authority.

Government VIPs Meet with Environmental Companies and Agree on a Development Path to Create World-Class Recycling and Waste Disposal Facilities in Sharjah
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Saud Al Qasimi, Head of the Finance and Administration Department of Sharjah, and His Excellency Salim Bin Mohammed Al Owais, Chairman of the Department of Municipality and Agriculture, and Chairman of Bee’ah, The Sharjah Environment Company, last week toured the Al Saja’a waste management site with Emirates Environmental Technology (EET) Co. LLC, the site operators, and Mr. Saeed Al Mazemi, Landfill Coordinator of the Solid Waste Department, Sharjah Municipality. Sheikh Mohammed and Chairman Al Owais viewed the entire landfill site together with the new cells being developed to enable recycling of waste into reusable material and safe disposal of other materials.

‘Bee’ah, The Sharjah Environment Company’ provides Sharjah’s first pedestrian recycling facilities on the Sharjah Corniche
Bee’ah, the Sharjah Environment Company, today announced the installation and operation of 52 pedestrian recycling centers on the Sharjah Corniche. Placement of the recycling centers was completed on November 7 as one of the initial phases of introducing recycling facilities to the public in the Emirate of Sharjah. The public response has been encouraging, with the bins being used heavily and with a high correct usage rate.

Bee’ah Collects 2800 Kilograms of Recyclable Waste in Sharjah Commercial Towers in Just Six Weeks
Bee’ah, The Sharjah Environment Company today announced that it has already collected 2800 kilograms of recyclable waste from the Al Batha Tower, on the Sharjah Corniche, over a period of just six weeks. Being the first initiative of its kind in the Emirate of Sharjah, the recently launched ‘Commercial Recycling Program’ will allow businesses in Sharjah to recycle their office waste.
